Lamarvin Ashley did a little bit of everything for the McComb Tigers this past year. Ashley lined up at a variety of positions in his attempt to help his team win games. College coaches took notice of Lamarvin's versatility and team first attitude and soon scholarship offers were on the way. After taking a pair of official visits and considering all of his options, Lamarvin has made a decision.

"I am committed to Memphis," said Ashley. "I feel that's the best place for me and I am done with recruiting."

Lamarvin chooses the Tigers over offers from Alcorn State, Arkansas State and Louisiana.

The south Mississippi product plans to join Coach Larry Porter's program and is prepared to line up just about anywhere.

"They have talked about me playing slot receiver or DB, but it doesn't really matter to me," said Ashley. "I just want to help the team."

An official visit to Louisiana was slated for this weekend, but Lamarvin reports that he will not be taking that trip.

"I am not going on any more visits," said Ashley. "Now that I have made my commitment, I am done. It's over. I am going to Memphis."

As a senior, Lamarvin scored five touchdowns and had over 1,000 all purpose yards.
