Chase Patton - The Real Diamond

There are several talented quarterbacks around the country in 2003. Missouri's Chase Patton just could be the best of the best.
Just when you think this years crop of quarterbacks couldn’t get any better, another tape comes sliding across my desk.
Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge signal caller
Chase Patton
is as good or better than any quarterback I’ve seen this year.
I couldn’t even write a scouting report on Patton. The first pass he threw was a 30-yard rope that hit the receiver in stride. I could’ve turned the VCR off right there.
“With all due respect to the other quarterbacks in the country, I feel I have the best.” Said Rock Bridge Head Coach A.J. Ofodile.
“Chase is a player, his skills speak for themselves. I’ve seen most of the top quarterbacks including the kid (Jon David Booty) that’s going to USC, none of them have the skills that Chase Patton has.
“Chase’s throwing motion, his release, his arm strength and skills set him apart from any other quarterback in the country. He’s the best of the best.”
We agree coach, Patton is the real diamond and it’s easy to see why
Missouri
,
Kansas State
,
Iowa
and
Tennessee
have all offered a scholarship.
Michigan
,
Michigan State
,
Notre Dame
and
Virginia
are all recruiting Patton as well.
Patton looks like a natural in the pocket. His footwork and mechanics are excellent. His release is quick and he's got a very strong arm.
I haven’t seen a high school quarterback like Chase Patton since
Kyle Boller
or
Carson Palmer
.
Patton threw for 2,630 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior. He was named 1st team all-state.
Patton, Henne, Morelli, Hoyer, Vlahogeorge, Booty, Lewis and the list goes on and on an on. What a crop of signal callers we have in 2003.
