What a long road offensive tackle Wes Schweitzer took to being a division-one player.
The Scottsdale (az.) Chaparral product didn't become a full-time starter at CHS until his senior and he blossomed and developed into a 6-5 270 pounder that eventually earned scholarship offers from Columbia, Utah State, Idaho, Hawaii, San Jose State, Air Force and New Mexico.
After visiting Hawaii and SJSU, he tells Scout.com today that he has ended his recruitment.
He says, "I committed to San Jose State."
He continues about the Spartans, "I felt like SJSU had better opportunites for med school and I really like Coach Bernardi, the o-line coach. and I like the direction the program is going."
