Maikhail Miller, Scout.com's No. 45 nationally rated quarterback, took in an official visit to Arkansas State this weekend. However, upon returning home and weighing his options, he opted to stick with his original commitment to Ole Miss.

"I never had any doubts," Miller said, when asked where he stands with his commitment after coming back home from Arkansas State. "I just went up there to see what they had. It was nothing big. I was about 99 percent sure before I went up there. I'm 100 percent sure now."

Arkansas State offered Miller the opportunity to compete for a starting job next fall, which was appealing.

"They told me I could come in there and play early and have a chance to compete when I got up there. I know it will be a little while longer before I can compete for the job at Ole Miss, but I'm going there anyway. It's just where I want to be."

Why was Ole Miss the best fit in the end?

"I just know a lot of people at Ole Miss. Everybody likes it there. Even though I just met some of these people in the last year or so, it's like I have known them all of my life. I just fit in the best at Ole Miss from a social standpoint. It's like home away from home, really."

Miller finished the season with 1,656 yards passing and 14 touchdowns, while rushing for another 1,148 yards rushing and 22 touchdowns.
