Bullough Lands Familiar Offer
Will Michigan State have another Bullough? That remains to be seen, but the Spartans have at least taken the first step towards that happening, offering Traverse City St. Francis' 6-2, 195-lb safety Riley Bullough at their junior day. "Riley received an offer from State on Sunday," his father Shane Bullough, a former Spartan linebacker himself, reported. When asked if his son was excited, Mr. Bullough said, "Yes, but pretty level headed right now. Just staying the course." Older brother Max will be a sophomore in the fall at MSU. Their grandfather Hank Bullough played guard and then coached in East Lansing, and several uncles also played for the Spartans. That said, Riley had previously reported that he was not necessarily a lock. "I'm definitely interested in more schools than Michigan State," he said in a November update. "Max is there, so I know guys there, but I'm still looking at other schools also. I'm interested in meeting other coaches. Right now, it's a free ball game. I'm open for anyone who shows interest." One of those schools is Iowa, his other scholarship offer. He is also receiving interest from Notre Dame, Central Michigan, Western Michigan and others. Riley played quarterback for the Gladiators and could remain there in college, but is also being recruited as a linebacker and safety.
