"I'm gonna be a Deac," said the Wake Forest signee. One of the players who switched to Wake Forest…
"I'm in love with Wake."
"I'm in love with Wake," the 6-0, 230 lb. athlete said of his future program. "Before my visit I was committed to playing for App State. Then Wake came into the picture that same week, and it was ACC football, with a great campus and education. "That all came together, and then I took a visit and was just wild about how nice the school and football program were. My dad played SEC football at Georgia." In addition to App State, Chubb was seeing recruiting efforts from Air Force, Chattanooga and Colorado. "It's only a four or five hour drive, and isn't far like Colorado or the Air Force. I love the size of campus and campus life, and it's more like Georgia weather," the Powder Springs native said of Wake. "I'm looking forward to the intensity of the football program, and coming in with the mentality to work hard, and taking every chance I can to practice, compete, and help them make another run for the ACC title." "We have a signing day ceremony at school at 2:15, and I'm signing at the school. The local newspaper is having a separate ceremony afterwards, and then I'm going out to dinner with my best friends. "Everybody in my family is excited. So are my coaches, and all of my friends," he added. Chubb described his on-field assets. "I hope to bring another aspect to the team; bring some leadership and intensity. As a freshman it will be hard to be a leader, but I lead by my actions and not my voice. I hope to inspire people, and help the defense stand out. "I've got power and love to blitz; I'm a great blitzer. I'm also a great running back stuffer. As for improvements, Chubb said, "I need to work on my lateral movement." Brandon Chubb For up-to-the-minute recruiting updates and much more..
