Dallas (TX) Skyline receiver Thomas Johnson will be visiting two powerhouse programs from the lone star state this weekend. Scout.com caught up with the 6-foot, 175-pound star prospect to get the latest on the upcoming junior days.
“I’m going to be heading to TCU this Saturday and then to Texas on Sunday for their junior days,” said Johnson.
The Horned Frogs were the latest addition to Johnson’s offer list when they pulled the trigger a few days ago. He is excited about the offer and hopes to learn more about the program this weekend during his visit.
“I was surprised that they offered me to be honest. I’m excited and I like what they have done with their program. They are moving to the Big East and they are close to home and my parents could watch me play every weekend there. I’m looking forward to checking out the campus, academics and the whole program this Saturday.”
The four-star wideout is also excited about his upcoming visit to Texas and he thinks a scholarship could possibly be coming his way.
“I think there’s a chance Texas might offer me this weekend. I know their junior days are a big deal for them and they give out some offer to their top targets there. It would be awesome to get an offer from them.”
Johnson also holds offers from many of the nations top programs like Arizona, Auburn, Baylor, Cal, Iowa, Miami, Purdue, Texas A&M, UCLA and USC. He saw limited action during his junior season due to a high ankle sprain.
