Burdette Talks Recruiting
Quintavius Burdette profile "Things are going real good right now," said Quintavius. "I am playing basketball, then I am going to be on that track and then back out for spring football. "I am a real defensive minded person on the court and I am trying to help our team keep going." While Burdette is known as a pretty salty defender on the hardwood, when it comes to football he is best known for his exploits at running back. The rising senior rushed for 1,235 yards and 16 scores as a junior averaging over eight yards per carry. "I am getting letters from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Stanford, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Memphis, Tennessee and Arkansas State," said Quintavius. "I went to Mississippi State's camp last year and I am going to their junior day and to junior day at Memphis." Like most top players in his league, Burdette plays on both sides of the ball. On the college level, he is expected to score touchdowns rather than prevent them. "People are talking about me playing running back and that's what I want to play," said Quintavius. "I like to have the ball in my hands. "I feel like that gives me some control of the game. I am a real offensive minded person in football and I want to help the team win." The talented rusher reports that when decision time comes he wants to be part of a formidable offense. "I want to go get my education," said Burdette. "I want to be part of a good team at a good place to play. I want to play in a good offense that gives me the opportunity to get the ball in my hands."
