Keene has a lot to Consider
Christian Keene profile "I am hearing from Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas and Alabama," said Keene of his football suitors. "I haven't been to any junior days yet and I don't have anything planned right now." With baseball season just around the corner, it is difficult to squeeze in football events due to the busy schedule on the diamond. Bubba is expected to have the option to play baseball or football if not both on the college level and there are some rumblings that major league baseball may come calling in 2012. "As of right now all of that is confusing," said Keene. "Right now, I would say I would probably go with baseball because that's what I am playing right now. "When football starts back up, I would probably tell you something different. "Sometimes I think I might just go to Co-Lin, so I can be close to home and play both of them." Bubba has proven to be one of Mississippi's top wide receivers and next fall he will look to lead his team without the benefit of record breaking quarterback Chandler Rogers. "I hope we can all come together and work hard and get another ring next year," said Keene. "Trinity is going to be in our district this year and I am happy about that. "Playing a tougher district schedule will make us better and get us ready for the playoffs." There is certainly plenty of time for Bubba to sift through all of his options and consider all of the circumstances before he enrolls in college in the fall of 2012. When Keene does decide, having the chance to continue some long standing relationships will be a key part of his selection process. "I like going places where I know I already have friends," said Bubba. "I would like to stay kind of close to home. I don't have to stay in state, but pretty close by."
