Norman is Number Three!

Alex Norman is a talented defensive tackle from Dallas, who is the third player to issue a commitment to the Texas Longhorns for the Class of 2012.

Alex Norman, a 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive end from Bishop Dunne High in Texas just informed that he has made a commitment to play for Texas in college.

He is in Austin to attend tomorrow's junior day festivities, but picked up an offer from the Longhorns on Saturday an wasted little time in accepting it.

As a matter of fact it looks like he took it on the spot.

"Mack Brown Head Coach from UT just offered," Norman posted on his social networking website. "I committed to UT. I'm a Longhorn!"

Norman's grandfather, Pettis Norman, played tight end in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys and san Diego Chargers. He earned a start in Super Bowl V for the Cowboys.

Norman joins QB Connor Brewer and LB Alex De La Torre as the known verbal commitments for the Horns so far in the Class of 2012 and with junior day festivities unwinding he is not likely to be the last.
