Midwest Regional Manager

Detroit Cass Tech safety Brandon Berry is a player we think will continue to rise and pick up interest. Today, he took a big step by landing his first scholarship offer.

Cass Tech always has a number of college level prospects, and although he has not received as much attention as his teammates, safety Brandon Berry is a prospect who impressed us during the season and at off-season camps.

The 6-0, 195-lb Berry played linebacker during the season, making 77 tackles and recording eight sacks. He will play safety this year and could play there in college as well.

He has a number of schools looking at him, and today, he earned his first scholarship offer.

"Brandon Berry just got offered from Western Michigan," Cass Tech defensive coordinator Jermain Crowell said.

Berry reports additional interest coming from Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, UCLA and Vanderbilt.
