Headliner Barry Sanders, Jr., National 100 running back from Oklahoma City-Heritage Hall, Okla.. visited Alabama for the Ole Miss game during the season. Alabama is one in the hot teams in the sweepstakes for the elite prospect's signature. In-state recruits Alabama welcomes in several top in-state players including the Tide's most recent commitment Tyler Hayes, linebacker from Thomasville. Hayes committed to Alabama Monday night and was the second commitment of the day joining Kenyan Drake, running back from Powder Springs-Hillgrove, Ga. National 100 prospects The list includes Jameis Winston, quarterback from Hueytown, Justin Shanks, defensive tackle from Prattville, Reggie Ragland, linebacker from Madison-Bob Jones, Geno Smith, National 100 cornerback from Atlanta-St. Pius X, Ga., and Travis Blanks, National 100 safety from Tallahassee-Norh Florida Christian, Fla. Ragland has already given his verbal pledge to the Tide. *Shanks will not make the trip and will re-schedule an unofficial visit later in March. In-staters drawing attention Justin Shanks' teammate, Jay Minor, will also travel to Tuscaloosa. The 6-foot-2.5, 240-pound prospect is recruited by Alabama for the 'Jack' linebacker position. The coaching staff has shown a lot of interest in Minor and may offer this weekend. Beniquez Brown, athlete from Florence, has received scholarship offers from Alabama and Auburn. He is a standout running back and linebacker, but will likely play on the defensive side of the ball on the college level. Auburn is No. 1 on his list. A decision might happen as early as next week. Peach State on Tide's mind Several prospects from Georgia include Jaquay Williams, wide receiver from Franklin-Heard County, Ga,, Dillon Lee, outside linebacker from Buford, defensive lineman James Deloach and defensive tackle Jonathan Taylor, from Millen-Jenkins County, offensive guard Jordan Watson, from Fayetteville-Whitewater, and athlete Josh Clemons, athlete Valdosta-Lowndes. Teammates from Tally Tight end Laith Harlow, and cornerback T.J. Davis, from Tallahasse-Godby, Fla., will visit Tuscaloosa. Harlow and Davis have received offers from Alabama. Hot underclassmen Cameron Toney, a class of 2013 linebacker from Huntsville, has been invited to Tuscaloosa this weekend along with other rising juniors including Jeremy Johnson, quarterback from Montgomery-Carver, Ala., Eddie Printz, quarterback from Marietta-Lassiter, Ga., Jamie Major, linebacker from Piedmont, Ala., and Trey Johnson, outslde linebacker from Lawrenceville-Central Gwinnett, Ga. At least one 2014 prospect was invited to visit this weekend in E.J. Moss, quarterback from Ashville, Ala.
