Harris Enjoys Junior Day Experience
Herbert Harris profile "I am getting letters from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, UCLA and Southern Miss," said Herbert. "I went to Mississippi State's junior day last weekend and I am going to Southern Miss this weekend. "I might be going to Louisiana-Lafayette next month." Saturday in Starkville proved to be a positive experience for the central Mississippi product. "Mississippi State went well," said Herbert. "I like the campus and I like how the coaches are. "Everything up there is real nice." Herbert had the chance to get some face time with new Mississippi State linebackers coach Geoff Collins. "Coach Collins is a real cool guy," said Harris. "He is a coach I feel I could get close to and enjoy playing for. I really like the way he talks about linebackers." The Clinton standout got a little inside information about the Bulldogs' plans at his position this signing class during his junior day trip. "Coach Collins told us that he has like three scholarships in this class, so he is looking for some linebackers," said Harris. "He didn't really tell me what position they are looking at me for, but I could play mike or outside linebacker. "It doesn't really matter to me. I am not choosy about that sort of thing. I just want to help the team." Herbert is looking for the chance to contribute on the college level. "I want to go somewhere that I am needed," said Harris. "I don't have to stay close to home. I could play anywhere. I just want to find the right school for me."
