It is no surprise that when the word came down, Humble (TX) defensive tackle Paul Boyette made the call.
"This is what I have been wanting, to play for Texas which is my dream school," Boyette said. "This is where I want to be."
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound defender Boyette chose the Longhorns over other programs including Utah, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Notre Dame and Stanford. He was also being recruited by a number of other Top 25 programs as well.
Boyette finished with 51 tackles (19 for loss), five sacks and nine knockdowns as a junior.
