Posted Feb 26, 2011 has the update on Houston area defensive tackle Paul Boyette, who had great junior season. This upcoming weekend, he is headed to a junior day he has been looking forward to for some time. Now, the decision has been made.

It is no surprise that when the word came down, Humble (TX) defensive tackle Paul Boyette made the call.

“This is what I have been wanting, to play for Texas which is my dream school,” Boyette said. “This is where I want to be.”

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound defender Boyette chose the Longhorns over other programs including Utah, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Notre Dame and Stanford. He was also being recruited by a number of other Top 25 programs as well.

Boyette finished with 51 tackles (19 for loss), five sacks and nine knockdowns as a junior.
