Northern Illinois Offers Gulley
Kenosha Tremper (Wisc.) running back Toneo Gulley earned his third offer from Northern Illinois University. This is his second offer this week and Gulley feels thrilled to add two more colleges to his list of programs. "I feel really excited about it. I can't even find the words to say how I feel," Gulley said about his two offers this week. "I'm really happy and blessed." But how does Gulley feel about Northern Illinois? "I know they run the ball a lot. They had a couple good running backs come out of there," Gulley said. "I meet the head coach when he coached at Wisconsin." The 5-foot-7, 185-pound recruit briefly talked with Northern Illinois's recruiting coach and said he seemed like a young, energetic guy. Gulley said Northern Illinois analyzed his skills, which he said helped him land the offer. "I am a shifty and powerful running back. I can be able to move and shake off defenders and squeeze through tight holes," Gulley said. "I think that is what they saw in me too." Gulley said he has not started researching Northern Illinois yet, but when he does he has certain criteria that are important to him. "I look for my major, traditions and their depth chart," Gulley said. "I want to find out more about their coaching staff. I'm looking at their facilities too." Gulley plans to visit Northern Illinois on April 23. Currently, Gulley is working on building and strengthening his Kenosha Tremper team. "I am working on basically gathering up my new teammates to better build a relationship with the juniors that are coming up," Gulley said. "I am trying to make myself and my team better." Gulley also has offers from Bowling Green and Toledo. Stay on Scout.com for more updates about Toneo Gulley.
