A look back at the top punters down in Australia...

Chris Sailer Kicking has coached an evaluated national special teams talent for over 10 years now. With each year, more and more international prospects have flocked their way to the United States and specifically the National Events in Las Vegas in hopes of gaining exposure to play college football in the U.S. But no country has been better represented then Australia. With Australian Rules Football and Rugby as a background, the athletic skills naturally translate to kicking and punting. Each year more and more Australian athletes make their way on to college football teams and NFL teams.

Earlier this month Chris Sailer decided to travel to Australia to see first hand how camps are run in Australia and also hand pick talent that should be recognized in the U.S. OzPunt.net and Cameron McGillivray hosted Sailer for a 2-day camp in Melbourne, Australia. Approximately 25 specialists from all over Australia attended the well run kicking and punting camp. The camp included current NLF hopefuls such as David King and high school prospects looking to play college football in the United States.

Here are the top 2 prospects that should get serious consideration for D1 football in the U.S. according to Sailer:

1. Brad Craddock (Class of 2012):

"Brad is a natural talent. He has a huge leg and shows the ability to kick and punt at the highest level. In comparing him to the 2012 talent in the United States, Brad would rank as one of the top 5 in the nation as a combo player. Hit several punts in the 50+ range with 4.8-5.1 second hang time. With minimal instruction was able to hit a kickoff 74 yards with 4.28 hang time. A bit raw, but shows incredible potential. Should be considered a D1A Scholarship Pick!"

2. Hamish McInnes (Class of 2012):

"Hamish was perhaps the most consistent punter of the group. He showed a strong leg and excellent technique. Punted for 40+ yards with 4.2-4.6 hang time fairly consistently. Has a good frame and looked strong mentally. Has all the tools to play at any level in the United States. Should be considered a D1 prospect and scholarship pick at any other level."

Chris Sailer Kicking continues to be the #1 kicking and punting business in the nation. This next step of going international will continue into the future. The next large exposure camp is the 9th Annual National Kicking Spring Event in Las Vegas, NV May 14-15, 2011. Visit www.ChrisSailerKicking.com for all future camp dates.
