Scout.com has learned that Argyle 2012 quarterback Austin Aune has pledged his services to TCU. The talented signal-caller will also play baseball.
"Yes, I committed there earlier tonight," said Aune in a text message to Scout.com
The junior quarterback led Argyle to a 13-1 record in 2010, throwing for over 2,700 yards and 30 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He also ran for several hundred more.
"TCU offers me a great opportunity to play football and baseball for a university in the top rankings in both sports," Aune said. "I am honored with their confidence in me at this early stage and I feel will be able to step in and make a contribution in both sports.
"The gives me a chance to compete and play the sports I love. An offer I couldn't pass up."
Aune is also an accomplished baseball star, batting .495 as a sophomore with five home runs.
Aune also had interest in Kansas, Texas Tech, and Houston.
