First Offer in for Williams
Tyrone Williams profile "I am busy running track right now," said Williams after Thursdays' event. "I run the 100, 200, 4 x 100, and 4 x 200. "Today I won the 100 and the 200 and we won the 4 x 100 and finished second in the 4 x 200." Tyrone looks forward to attending his first college camps this summer, so he can put that speed on display in person for college recruiters. Despite flying a little under the radar, some things are beginning to happen for the talented receiver. "Arkansas State offered me today," said Williams. "I am getting some letters from Ole Miss and I am really interested in Mississippi State." The speed merchant explained some of the things he likes about the Bulldogs. "They have a good football team and I wouldn't have to be too far from my mama if I went there," said Tyrone. "My coach has told me a lot about Mississippi State and really like them right now. "I am looking forward to going up there and checking them out." Williams will be a name on the evaluation list for every coach recruiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast this spring. The productive wideout reports those coaches will find him working hard to improve himself. "I feel like I can use my speed to outrun people," said Tyrone. "I can shake people in the open field and then get to the end zone. "I want to be a better route runner, so this spring I am going to be working hard on that." With one of the top prep seasons in the state in 2010, Williams emerged as a bona fide play maker for Hancock High. "After I made my first catch in high school, I felt like I could really do this," said Tyrone. "I practiced real hard last year to get better and it paid off. "Now I am working hard to get better for this year."
