Denton (TX) Guyer athlete Dominic Ramacher currently holds an offer from Arizona and the Wildcats…
Cyclones Offer Denton Stars
"I haven't had any contact with them (Iowa State) until this afternoon," Dominic Ramacher noted Monday. "I spoke with Coach Wells and Coach Rhoads." "They said they loved my highlight film, and what kind of person I am on and off the field- from what they've heard about me." Same story for the the speedy 6'4, 185-pound Conner Crane (who, in fact, had just returned the night before from his unofficial visit to Colorado.) "I loved my trip to CU," said Crane. "Got a tour of the facilities and campus, sat in an offensive meeting, and then watched their spring practice." "The Buffs are looking real good. They definitely moved up my list." As for Iowa State, Crane says he is excited about the offer (his 8th), but admits he needs to study up a bit on the school. "The coaches said that the school is top notch, and I know they surprised a lot of people in the Big 12 last year," he said. "I don't know much about Iowa State," said Ramacher, "but it's another school that's close to my family in Minnesota, so I like them." (A reason he likes offerer Minnesota so much.) The 6'3, 230-pound athlete grew up 45 minutes north of Minneapolis. It was three years ago that he and his parents made the move to the Lone Star State. "My mom went to college in Texas and she loved it here," he said. She attended Texas-Pan American on a volleyball scholarship. Wells and Rhoads are hoping to get both Denton standouts on campus this spring. "I'll try my best," said Ramacher, "but right now my spring's getting pretty busy planning visits." (He may swing through Ames on his way to the University of Minnesota.) As for Crane, "I'm not sure when I'll be able to get down there because of spring ball and track." TBD.
