Jamal Malone profile
"I am hearing the most from Louisiana-Lafayette, UCLA, LSU, Ole Miss, Pitt, Alcorn State, Southern Miss, Kentucky and a few more.
"I was supposed to go to junior day at Louisiana, but I couldn't make it."
Heading into his senior season, Malone is doing his best to prepare his team for the final prep campaign of his career.
The early results from spring are mixed.
""We are working for spring practice now," said Jamal. "Things are going good. The team looks okay, but we have a lot of work to do. Everybody is going to have to work harder."
The talented Malone counts himself among the number with a lot of work to do. As one of the team's leaders he wants to set the pace.
"I am going to be better this year than I was last year," said Jamal. "My speed is already a lot better, but I want to do a better job on my technique. I am working hard to get all of that down."
The south Mississippi standout is anxiously awaiting scholarship offer number one, but he has a good idea about what type of program he wants to belong to on the next level.
"I want to win and go somewhere that I really fit in and fit the defense," said Malone. "I want to major in some sort of agriculture. I like being outdoors, so something like that is interesting to me."
