Samples with Three
Ra'Shaad Samples, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound wide receiver was called in to duty early in his prep career to fill in for an injured Thomas Johnson (Texas Commit). The time on the grind paid off in a big way for him as he not only put up great numbers and helped his team, but he also got some exposure playing for one of the most heavily recruited programs in the state. It did not take long for him to pull in verbal scholarship offers as coaches noticed his talents while scouting elder prospects on the roster. Before you know it he had BCS caliber offers from both Texas Tech and Kansas State. The list grew by one when he racked up another BCS level offer from Turner Gill and the Kansas Jayhawks. "Kansas verbal offered Ra'Shaad Samples," informed a source close to the program. Samples is the son of Skyline head coach Reginald Samples. As a sophomore in 2010 Samples led the team with 485 receiving yards. He hauled in 27 receptions and scored six touchdowns.
