Ohio Road Trip: Carlutorbantu Zaramo
At 6'4, 290-lbs, with the ability to play both sides of the ball, Carlutorbantu Zaramo is giving college coaches and recruiting fans a reason to learn to pronounce his name. Recently, "Carlu," as he is called for short, landed his first two offers. "I was offered by Youngstown State and Akron," he reported. "I wouldn't really say...I don't want to sound cocky, but I wouldn't say it was unexpected. It was really cool. I was really excited." He has not visited either school, but Zaramo said he was looking to set up a visit to Akron. He has visited two of the Zips' in-state and in-conference rivals. "I've been to Bowling Green. I like the campus. They had new buildings and such and the coaching staff is a pretty good coaching staff. I've been to Toledo. I know that they have a pretty nice facility. Their training facilities and stuff are nice. Their coaching staff is also very good like others." Zaramo, who is also an excellent student, says Syracuse and Bowling Green are among the schools showing the most interest right now who have not offered. As far as position, he says that still is to be determined. "I can't say for sure. Defense, of course, is more fun, but I think I'm more proficient at offense."
