Vandalia Butler's Miles Eaton certainly passes the eye test at a solid 6'3, 302-lbs. The starting left guard last season, he is a key to their success this year, and he is starting to hear from more schools.
"I've heard from Kent State, Bowling Green, Tiffin, and a little bit from Kentucky and Toledo," he said. "I went to Kent State and Bowling Green not too long ago. Tiffin has one spring game they want me to go to on April 16th. Toledo has one they want me to go to later in April."
Butler is in the Dayton area, about ten minutes from Huber Heights Wayne, where Kent State's linebackers coach Marcus Freeman starred before playing at Ohio State. That area connection was something Eaton felt on his visit to see the Golden Flashes.
"Marcus was there, I had contacted him and greeted him. He said he really liked me on film. The campus is nice. The facilities are nice. They wanted me to stop by anytime. Just get on campus, and they'd show me around and stuff. They want me to come to the spring game, and come up and watch practice anytime."
Eaton says Bowling Green was also a good visit.
"They were also real welcoming. They liked me on film. They said I look good on film, and they wanted to see more of me. They wanted me to go to the spring game as well, get to know the environment, but they said I looked good and looked like a good player."
Going back to those two schools are part of Eaton's plans for the summer.
"I'm going to Bowling Green, Tiffin, Kent State, and I'll go to some other camps."
