Ontonagon is right on Lake Superior, about six hours to closest FBS school (Wisconsin) and not accustomed to having college football prospects, but junior lineman Corbin Fuller
is one to know.
The 6'5, 320-lb Fuller was named defensive lineman of the year in his conference, All Upper Peninsula, and a few other honors after recording 61 tackles and starting both ways.
Still the college attention has been slow to come.
"Ferris State is the only school I've heard from," he said. "I haven't sent out game tapes to any other schools."
The highlight tape is close to done though, and Fuller will be headed down state to check in with a few programs soon.
"I'm going down there next month on the 18th. It's a school program and you can sign up to go down. I'm going to Grand Valley State, Central Michigan and Michigan State."
And once they see the tape and Fuller in person, maybe they'll come up to see him.
Michigan's upper peninsula may be a haul for college coaches, but Ontonagon High's Corbin Fuller, all 6'5, 320-lbs of him, might have them making that drive.
Fuller Will Have Schools Going to U.P.
