After stops
in Akron and Ohio State the past two years, New Level Athletics is bringing
their Midwest 7v7 Passing Camp to the University of Pittsburgh this weekend. There will
be plenty of talent on hand and Scout.com the industry leader in recruiting
coverage will be on hand covering the event.
Here is a
preview of the linebackers that will display their skills at this event. Who
will shine the brightest one of these known commodities or will an unknown
newcomer rise up and steal the spotlight?
Linebackers:
Steel
City Starz (Black)
will be led by a pair of hard-nosed run stuffing backers Corey Garry and Mike
Shinsky, of course in 7v7 you have to be able to cover, so we’ll see if these
guys can make that adjustment. Western PA Swag I has a talented corp of
linebackers led by Pittsburgh/Pa./Peabody standout Jaylen Coleman who holds
offers from Pittsburgh and Toledo. Coraopolis/Pa./Cornell athlete B.J. Lipke is
one of the most under-rated pass rushers in the state and he can play linebacker
or wide receiver. Pittsburgh/Pa./Upper Saint Clair athlete Dakota Conwell is as
smooth as any linebacker we’ll see in this event, why he has no offers is beyond
me. Also keep an eye out for 2013 stud linebacker Delton Williams from Erie/Pa./Cathedral Prep.Western PA Swag II will have two-way standout Joell Nesbit, Nesbit
can play running back or linebacker. The Pittsburgh/Pa./Brashear standout is
still waiting on his first offer.<p>
The Goon
Squad managed to lure four-star outside linebacker Deaysean Rippy away from
his Western Pennsylvania roots. The McKees Rocks/Pa./Sto-Rox athlete should have
a chip on his shoulder after some things a local newspaper said about him
recently. Team Canada will feature Eli Ankou. Ankou was very impressive
at the Rutgers 7v7 event. Max Ex Blitz will be led by Detroit/Mich./Cass
Tech four-star Royce Jenkins-Stone, who has offers from everyone.
Leading the
Michigan Preps I team will be Lathrup Village/Mich./Southfield-Lathrup
outside linebacker Jamal Lyles who holds offers from Illinois, Toledo and
Western Michigan. Muskegon/Mich. Running back Juwan Lewis, who holds an offer
from Western Michigan may also share time at linebacker.
