A Mid-Season Decision?
Travon Travis profile "This was my second time to go up there. I went last year when they played Georgia. This time was different because I got to see more of the campus." During his visit, Travis was able to meet with several of the Bulldog coaches and players. "I met all of the wide receivers and the wide receiver coach," said Travon. "Coach Mirando said they were coming to see me this spring and that they really want me to come back for camp. "Coach Koenning took me out on the field and I got to meet the quarterbacks. He said that he was glad that I cam and that they were very interested in me." The Bulldog signal callers made a positive impression on the Gulf Coast standout. "They have some good quarterbacks," said Travis. "Dylan Favre and Tyler Russell would still be there if I went there, so that's good. "Tyler Russell has good height, so he can see down the field. "Dylan Favre is not that tall, but he sure can scramble." Travon claims a genuine interest in the Mississippi State program and he believes that feeling is mutual. "I am not sure if they are going to offer me right now, but I know they are real interested in me," said Travis. "I am glad I went. I like it up there and I liked going in the locker room and meeting the players. "I think they are going to end up offering me." The talented wideout will make the drive to Oxford, Mississippi next weekend to see how the Rebels preform in their spring game. Once Travon completes his one spring practice events, he plans to hit the road in an effort to boost his stock as a college prospect. "I want to go to some camps and go visit with the coaches," said Travis. "I want to get through the summer and then see what happens. "I am thinking about making a decision around my second or third game of the season."
