The 6'3, 185-lb signal caller put good zip on his passes, showing the arm strength folks in Fort Wayne have been talking about.
Currently, Knapke does not have any offers, but continue playing like this and that will not be a problem.
"I've heard from Bowling Green, Toledo, Western Michigan, Indiana," he said, "and I went down to Notre Dame to watch practice and they talked to me a little bit. I've been in contact and been down to Ball State and Kent State."
Those trips and conversations have allowed Knapke to find out exactly where he stands with some of these programs.
"They've all said I'm top three that they're looking at. I just have to go to camp show them what I can do. A lot of them will come to school the end of this month, beginning of next, and all want to see me throw in person, so I'm looking forward to it. It should be fun."
One school Knapke hopes for an offer from is Notre Dame, who has already seen a practice with.
"It was really exciting. Everything was really fast and up tempo. The offense is really fun to play in. They spread it around, throw it around. It's exciting and fun to watch. I've been a Notre Dame fan my whole life, so it was great to actually go down there. My recruiter is Mike Elston, he's the defensive line coach."
