The first domino to fall was an important one for Ball State, as they got their quarterback in the class, and a local one in Ozzie Mann.
"They were excited," he said after giving his pledge. "They gave me a hug. I did it in person."
The 6'3, 220-lb Mann said there was news that other offers could be coming, but he already knew where he wanted to be.
"It felt like home," he explained. "All the coaches are awesome. I felt comfortable with them. I know I can get a good education there."
Mann plans to go into elementary education at Ball State. He also plans to compete for the job right away.
"They told me the best players will play."
With the process essentially over, Mann can concentrate on helping Delta go deep into the playoffs.
"It's definitely a relief. Now it's time to get prepared for the ball. We're doing a lot of 7 on 7s and a team camp at Ball State. I'm doing a lot of team stuff."
