Minor wants more offers

Three schools have offered defensive end Jay Minor out of Prattville, Ala., but he is hungry for more.

"Memphis, South Alabama, and Arkansas State have offered me as a defensive end and I hearing from UAB, Tennessee, and Southern Miss," said Jay Minor.

The 6-foot-2, 235 pound defensive lineman is in no rush to name a favorite or make a decision.

"I want some more offers. I want to see who else wants me and I am open to everyone. I just want to go through spring, go to some camps in the summer, and see what offers I can get. I do not favor anyone because I want to get more offers first."

The Prattville, Ala. native has visited Alabama, Auburn, South Alabama, and Southern Miss. He liked different things at each school and he hopes to see a number of other places before he eventually makes his decision.

He hopes his ability at defensive end will draw him more attention.

"I am physical player that can make plays when the ball comes at me and I can rush the passer too," he said. "I think I am a pretty balanced D-End."

Minor finished with 12 sacks in 2010.
