Raph Andrades has had a good run in recent months. Back in December, he helped Lincoln High win the 4A state championship. Since then, he's landed a few offers. And this past weekend, he was the WR MVP at the 1on1 SHOWCASE Camp in Jacksonville.
"I had a great time at the camp," Andrades said. "The competition was good and I had seen a lot of those kids at other camps before so it was good competing with them again. Plus, I always enjoy going to camps with my teammates. Catching balls from my own quarterback (Ronald Butler) was nice, too."
Andrades, 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, talked about the recruiting process.
"I have offers from Stanford, Illinois, and FIU right now," he said. "I like those schools along with Florida, USC, Clemson, and Florida State. I actually grew up a Miami fan because my dad always liked them."
The standout receiver, who caught 24 passes and four scores for the state champs in 2010, talked about what he's looking for in a school.
"Education is the biggest thing," he said. "There's more to it than just football."
