There are a number of players who are still being evaluated before the college coaches will extend…
Williams Next in Line
Dalyn Williams is a talented athlete from Lake Dallas High, who has the size, frame and athleticism to be considered as a definite division one recruit. As a matter of fact he looks much more impressive physically than when we last saw him in 2010. He worked out recently at the Elite 11 camp at TCU and updated us on the camp experience and his current size. "It was fun we had a lot of competition out there," Williams explained. "It was great I had a lot of fun." "I am 6-foot, 205 right now. I have just been hitting the weights, running. Right now I am currently in baseball and that has helped me with my endurance and my fitness." Two years ago Missouri quarterback James Franklin quarterbacked the team and now he is in line to be the starter for the Tigers. Williams is trying to be himself, but likes the qualities that Franklin brought to the table. "I am really just trying to fill in to my shoes, but he was a good quarterback for me to follow," Williams informed. "He stayed out trouble, he did what he had to do on the field and he was always focused to do what he had to compete. I liked having him as a teammate." He does not yet have any offers but there are some schools tracking him and he will compete on the camp circuit for offers. "I would have to say Oklahoma State. They are buying in to my receiver and LSU some. There is not too much activity right now but I am hoping it picks up some. I want to go to Baylor camp, TCU, maybe Texas A&M, Texas Tech." Williams fill a number of roles for a college team, but wants to give his best effort to play the spot he is the most familiar with. "I feel like I am a quarterback it is my passion," a determined Williams said. "I always wanted to play quarterback regardless of what anybody says I am going to stick to it and try my best and use my God given on my ability." As a junior, Williams was a legit dual-threat. He passed for over 1,200 yards and rushed for nearly 1,000 yards while scoring 21 touchdowns.
