Getting in the first offer is always a good thing. It is even better when the second comes in. That is what happened to Montgomery (TX) offensive lineman Braden Meador today.
"I got my second offer in today…from Air Force. I already have one from the University of Houston," Meador said.
Meador explained how it all went down.
"Coach (Matt) Wallerstedt came to watch me practice and work out this week. The coach asked me to email him my test scores," Meador explained. "Then I got a message from my coach today from my (high school) coach asking me to called them and today I got the offer. It is exciting because Air Force has a great football program and one of the top schools in the country academically."
But it won't stop there. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Meador has a loaded summer coming up as he hits up camps trying to earn even more offers. It is likely that Meador will get to Baylor, Rice, Missouri, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, TCU, Michigan State, Stanford and SMU for camp or visit.
Braden was a big factor in the Bears running game that put up 3,169 yards, which is an average of just over 225 yards a game.
