Florida QB looking to make name for himself

Carson Royal is a standout QB prospect from St. Augustine HS.

"We are very strong physically an e have a lot of talented people and we just have to prove ourselves this spring," said Carson Royal. "We were going deep into the bench last year and we have to get organized and play SAHS football."

Royal is entering his first year as the starter at St. Augustine High but is already on the recruiting radar of several programs.

"UCF, USF, Elon, Marshall, and the University of South Alabama said they're coming to see me practice and stuff."

As a prospect: Royal played behind all-state quarterback Kyle West as a junior last season. West led them to the state semi-finals, where they lost to eventual state champion, Tampa Jefferson. Royal will take over as the starter this season and he's been impressive at various events/workouts in recent weeks. At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, he has the size, arm strength, and understanding of the game to turn into a very good quarterback for the Yellow Jackets. He should pick right up where West left off and brings even more to the table, as a prospect. Royal should get some Division 1 looks over the next few months.
