Adam Schertzer is a standout offensive line prospect from Kathleen High in Lakeland…
Florida OL names three
"Things have been going well. We had our regional track and I missed going to state by a half inch in the discus. We got some work ahead of us," said Adam Schertzer. At 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds, Schertzer talked about the recruiting process. "No offers yet but some schools have looked at me. UCF invited me to their Junior Day. I plan on going to their camp on the 18th and then Florida State on July 20th. Those are my summer plans. A lot of schools have been sending me letters and asking for film so I'm gonna get my video guy to do it." Three schools stand out to him right now. "Ohio State is my dream school but I know they're not coming for me. I like USF. My brother and sister went there. UCF has shown me the most interest. Those would be my top three." The standout OL talked about what he'll be looking for in a school. "Academics is most important. I wanna get my scholarship. 0.2 percent go onto the NFL so academics are the biggest thing. I like a good coach, an overall good coach." As a prospect: At 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds, Schertzer plays both left guard and center at the prep level and could project at either spot at the college level. He does a nice job of moving laterally and getting to the second level and he packs a good punch when he gets there. He's very strong and has a real good understanding of how to play the position. He's not a mauler but has all the tools to develop into a legitimate Division 1 prospect in the coming months.
