Top 2013 TE Adds More Offers
Camp Hill (Pa.) Cedar Cliff sophomore tight end Adam Breneman is making a name for himself on the camp circuit. He has shown not only to be one of the best sophomores in the state, but he is one of the best, regardless of class. Breneman already holds an offer from Boston College and he picked up two more recently from Temple and Notre Dame. The Owls offered Breneman late last week. "I got an offer from Temple when they visited the school," Breneman said. "Coach (Matt) Rhule from Temple visited. He told me they were really impressed with my film and that I have an offer from them. He said they will continue to be in contact with me." Breneman told Scout.com that Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, Rutgers, Vanderbilt and Syracuse have been showing a lot of interest lately and they are all stopping by Cedar Cliff this month. On Tuesday, Breneman picked up an offer from Notre Dame. The Irish signed the top tight end in the state in February, when they inked Ben Koyack. "Coach (Charley) Molnar visited my school and when I bumped into him, he told me they loved my film and they were offering me," stated Breneman. "I'm very excited about the offer. I love how they use their tight ends and the prestige of the school. "I'm planning on going there to visit this summer," Breneman continued. "Hopefully, things start to heat up now that I have three offers. Some other schools have been saying they're coming to see me soon, so we'll see what happens." Breneman recently took an unofficial visit to Rutgers. "I had a very good trip and they seem very interested in me," Breneman said of Rutgers. "Coach (Brian) Angelichio is coming to the school soon. The coaches were great and Rutgers runs a very tight end friendly offense. I really liked the facilities, they were awesome. "I had the chance to meet Head Coach Greg Schiano," Continued Breneman. "He talked about the program and the whole family factor at Rutgers. We had a chance to watch practice and the coaches were very intense and enthusiastic. I like how they spread the ball around and they used their tight ends in various ways, I really liked that." Breneman had a strong showing at the Nike Football Training Camp at Penn State over the weekend. He is a wide receiver in high school, but he will project as a tight end in college.
