"I was offered by Vanderbilt today. Coach Bankins has been recruiting me for about a month now and he's the coach who offered in a conversation with my head coach," Paris Head told Scout. "Coach Bankins and I talk weekly through Facebook. I got a chance to meet him the week of spring break when my parents took me on an unofficial visit. I love the Vanderbilt coaching staff. Coach Franklin sat and had breakfast with me and my family and answered a lot of questions about himself and the Vanderbilt program."
"Coach McGriff coaches corners and he told me he'd like for me to come play some corner for him. Vanderbilt is recruiting me as a corner or safety. The staff as a whole is very enthusiastic and practice is run with a lot of energy. You can tell they have Vanderbilt on the right path to succeed. And a Vanderbilt education is about as good as it gets."
Before the Commodores offered Head, another program out of Tennessee. Last week, the Memphis Tigers pulled the trigger.
"Coach Price at Memphis offered me last week when he stopped by Buford. I haven't gotten the chance to talk with him much. They like my film and they are recruiting me as a defensive back. I'm looking forward to learning more about the Memphis program soon."
So who could be next to offer this 5-foot-11, 160 pound athlete out of Buford, Ga.?
"I talked to Coach Knox from Mississippi State Monday night and I think it's possible I'll have an offer from them soon," he said. "I'm expecting to see Coach Buggs from Penn State and Coach Joseph from Tennessee this week. I talk to Coach Buggs often on Facebook. He says he likes my film and wants to see me in person. I'm also expecting to see Coach Bratton from Maryland soon. Maryland is recruiting me as a receiver. Georgia Tech was also at Buford this week and Coach Kelly is one of my favorites."
Head has no favorite school at this time. His plans are to have a list of schools to visit this summer shortly after Buford completes spring practice.
