Irwin Boys, Jacob Headline Cy Fair Recruiting
Parallel Recruiting For tight end Sean Irwin and offensive lineman Jeromy Irwin, it seem as though many of the same programs are interested in them. Not once did the two of them mention that were a package deal, but a couple of schools are recruiting them as if that were the case. "Right now, things are going good. I have offers from Colorado and Louisville. I did not get any letters from them or anything, they (Louisville coaches) just straight up offered me out of nowhere," Sean said. The 6-foot4, 235-pound tight end said that he is also getting looks from "Utah and Oklahoma," both of which came by the school to check out practice. Kansas, Nebraska, Kansas State, LSU, Purdue and Texas Tech are also recruiting him as well. Jeromy, who stands 6-foot-5, and weighs in at 285 pounds, has an offer from the same programs and has a similar take on the schools recruiting him. "Colorado offered me March 2 and Louisville recently. With Colorado, I'm definitely looking at them hard because I like the way they are recruiting me," Jeromy said. "They are recruiting me like nobody else is and I appreciate that. They give me lots of love." Oklahoma and West Virginia have been by recently and have expressed plenty of interest as well. One program that has fallen off the radar with Jeromy is Texas A&M. "Texas A&M: we went to some stuff there (junior days), but they don't keep in contact. They just don't seem very interested," Jeromy said. "Other than that, things are going well. I just want to feel around and see who else offers this spring because I plan to take all of my officials before I commit." Feeling for an Offer For Dwight White Jr., Tulsa and La Tech seem to be showing the most interest. The 5-foot-10, 173-pound White feels like things are picking up, so much to the point that he thinks that La Tech is close to offering soon as he talks with those coaches on a daily basis. White recorded 111 tackles last season from the safety position. Many of the programs recruiting him would like to try him at cornerback. Get Jacob the Ball After a season with 18 total touchdowns and over 1,500 yards of offensive production, offensive athlete John Jacob has a good deal of programs interested. Not lone ago the 5-foot-9, 175-pound Jacobs got his first offer from Air Force. And it seems like there is more to come. "I am hearing from Tulsa, Rice and a lot from UTEP lately," Jacobs said. "Dartmouth and Princeton (he indicated that he has a GPA over 4.0, thus the Ivy League is interested as well) too." Most programs want to use him in the slot, but he is open to whatever position gets him on the field.
