There were several quality offensive linemen at the 1on1 SHOWCASE Camp in Orlando this past weekend…
Florida DT open to everyone
"Everything is good. We're looking pretty strong this year. I play both ways. We got Cardinal Newman in the spring. I never heard of them. They're a private school," said Zerrie Patterson. Patterson talked about the latest on the recruiting front, as he awaits his first offer. "I don't have any offers yet. The coach from Buffalo just needs to see some game film to offer. South Carolina, West Virginia, and Northern Illinois have been by." Patterson isn't being picky when it comes to his top college choices. "It doesn't matter. I wanna hear from everybody. I'm trying to keep my options open." As a prospect: At 6-foot-2 and 320 pounds, Patterson is a classic run stuffer. He's a wide body in the middle who does a nice job of plugging holes. He also starts at left tackle on offense and shows some athleticism there. He projects better as a defensive tackle in college. He has a low center of gravity and has a powerful lower body. He's light on his feet for someone his size and should emerge as a legitimate Division 1 prospect at the defensive tackle position over the next couple months.
