Gaia Goes For Childhood Favorite
Gilman (Md.) three-star lineman Brian Gaia recently narrowed his list down to West Virginia, Alabama, Iowa and Penn State but it should come as no surprise that Gaia picked the Nittany Lions considering they are his childhood favorite. "They were my favorite school growing up learning how to play football, so it was really emotional to me," he said in an earlier interview. Gaia pulled the trigger this weekend after a phone call with head coach Joe Paterno and defensive line coach Larry Johnson. Penn State was the first school to recruit the two-way lineman on the defensive side of the ball. "They want me to play D-line so they have one nose guard who takes on all the double teams and they think I can do that well. I do that here [Gilman]." Stay on Scout.com for John Wallpher's in-depth interview with the future Nittany Lion.
