Florida OL lands major offer

James Hamilton is one of the state's top offensive line prospects and he talked about a major offer he just landed.

"Things have been going good. We're in the middle of spring now. We play half against St. Cloud and half vs Evans."

Hamilton has been one of the state's most heavily recruited offensive line prospects and he landed another major offer on Monday.

"North Carolina offered me today. It kinda caught me by surprise. I hadn't been hearing anything from them. He told me today and I was like wow. It's known as a defensive school, a top program in the ACC and everything."

With over a dozen offers now, Hamilton still has schools recruiting him that haven't offered yet. He talked about a few of those.

Ohio State and Tennessee came by and I talked to both of them. They both say they like me and everything and they plan on coming back down sometime this week or next week. Georgia Tech too.

The standout offensive line prospect has been in contact with two of the premier programs in Florida and talked about that.

"Miami, I talked to the coach the other day and they're gonna try coming down next week. They send me stuff everyday. They're still interested and everything like that. They wanna see my in live action. Florida is supposed to be here tomorrow."

As a prospect: At 6-foot-4 and 335 pounds, Hamilton is a massive guard prospect who absolutely mauls people at the point of attack. Once he gets his hands on the defender, it's over. He has excellent footwork and athleticism for a kid his size and it's not uncommon to see him 20 yards downfield throwing blocks. He's very strong, too. He's a major BCS-caliber OG prospect and already has the offers to show for it. He's one of the state's top interior OL prospects and will be one to watch in the coming months.
