Rutgers University became the first school to give out a scholarship offer to Philadelphia, Pa., defensive lineman Justin Moody on Tuesday afternoon and if loyalty and being the first to the plate ends up playing a part in his decision in 2013, the Scarlet Knights could land a monster.

Justin Moody is a player that has been watching since his freshman year at George Washington High School while he’s played both defensive end and defensive tackle and when we say the sky is the limit for this 6-foot-3, 265-pound young man, we mean it. He comes from the same school as current Florida Gator Sharrif Floyd and when all is said and done, if Moody continues to work hard with personal trainer Greg Garrett, he could reach the same level Floyd did.

Just moments ago, George Washington assistant Mike Wallace relayed the news to us.

Rutgers just came in today and offered Justin Moody,” Wallace said. “It was Coach Brian Angelichio.”

The Scarlet Knights went out and got two new recruiters in Jeff Hafley and Brian Angelichio to help them recruit great talent this offseason and this is yet another example of getting in the game early for big-time prospects.
