Florida QB drawing interest
"It's been going real good. The team is coming together real nicely. We weren't planning on playing but we might be playing Kings Academy. It's still up in the air right now," said Gunnar Holcombe. At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, Holcombe talked about the recruiting process. "I got Buffalo's offer last week. Oklahoma State is heavy on me and they're coming. Vanderbilt is coming soon. They talked to me. FSU is coming, USF, and Rutgers will be down soon that I know of. Wisconsin was at practice today. Rutgers is coming soon." With verbal offers from Rutgers, Wisconsin, and USF, Holcombe said it's still early to single out any favorites yet. "It's still early. I'm trying to focus on my season and my team right now and I'm sure everything will turn out well if I do that." Holcombe is excited about the scrimmage on May 20th to showcase his skills to colleges. "I have all the talent -- I just have to let it loose. Sometimes I put too much weight on my shoulders but my coach said I've progressed a lot since last season."
