The recruiting road trip has already begun for Clover Hill's (Va.) Holland Fisher and an offer could be right around the corner, he says.
"I am visiting Virginia Tech this Saturday. I had a visit a few weeks ago with Virginia that went well. My coaches say they are going to offer me September 2nd."
While the Hokies and Cavs are his home-state favorites, they are not the only schools on his mind.
"I will be at the NIKE training camp at Duke on the 22nd, so I am going to try and set up a visit for the 21st. I think I am going to camp at West Virginia, Virginia Tech, South Carolina and either Tennessee or Maryland. I’ve talked to Ohio State, Florida, Tennessee, Miami, Alabama, Notre Dame and Temple at my high school and they all say they really want me to come down and visit."
Fisher who has earned accolades on both sides of the ball is being recruited primarily as linebacker or strong safety.
"Some like me as linebacker and some like me as strong safety."
Fisher closed last season with 95 tackles, 11 for loss, four sacks and four forced fumbles at the linebacker position earning First Team All-District.
