Da’Shawn Hand is only finishing up his freshman year at Woodbridge High School and just picked up his second verbal offer from NC State on Wednesday. While his talent certainly has a lot to do with it, much credit has to be given to his head coach Kevin Smith for helping his players out so thoroughly.

Da’Shawn Hand, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound defensive lineman from Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, Va., received another offer from NC State on Wednesday and the Class of 2014 product is still getting interest from other schools.

“After meeting with the Rutgers and North Carolina State coaches today, they both said that when the time rolls around to offer a scholarship that Da’Shawn has one,” Smith said.

To be clear, right now this does give Hand a verbal offer from the ‘Pack, but the Scarlet Knights were not able to extend him one at this time.
