Texas linebacker Ryan Flannigan continues to add impressive offers, and Tuesday another Big 12…
NFTC Houston: Top DEF Skilled
Garrett Hope, The Woodlands – Was not named MVP of the camp at his position for nothing. He showed great lateral movement in drills and in the coverage of the backs. Really camps such as this do no justice for a player like Hope because the strength of his game is tackling. And he loves to hit. Jeffrey Hall, St. Charles (LA) – If the ball was in the air, it was likely that Hall would come down with it (on the day he hauled in three). He showed good cover skills on the deep ball, utilizing the sideline as an extra defender. If the ball was not intercepted, it was knocked down on most of his reps in 1-on-1s. Darien Monroe, East St. John (LA) – Was another one of the players who showed nice coverage skills. When receivers made the cuts on their routes, Monroe was in the hip pocket. He got his hands on a couple passes as well. Ryan Flannigan, MC Marshall – Talk about a player who has progressed, Flannigan is it. He comes out of his stance quickly and has the instincts and the agility to make a play on the ball, be it run or pass. Here is another player who enjoys the contact and it shows in his aggressive nature, even in a camp setting. Dillon Winfrey, Bryant (AR) – One of the defensive backs at the camp who had nice feet. Could move with the receivers and made a couple nice plays on the ball.
