Dorian Semien profile
"My role this year is to make plays," said Dorian. "I am playing a lot of wide out and getting one-on-one. It's my job to make plays in the open field.
"On 3rd down, I have to get open and make a play."
Semien is quick to give some credit for his development to the fact that he competes head up with one of the state's top corners, Jordan Batiste, in practice everyday.
"Me and him go at it," said Dorian. "It's making both of us better. We just come out here and compete everyday and every practice.
"The whole team is like that. We come out here and compete. We might get in a little scuffle, but we get over it and get back to being brothers again."
In his final prep season, Dorian has some lofty expectations for his team.
"Our coaches have done a wonderful job getting us ready," said Semien. "They have worked hard to give us good routes and good plays and put together some good practices for us this spring.
"I feel like we are going to be even better than we were last year. We can come out here and spread the ball around to everybody.
"We are going to do good and I feel like we can win the district championship for sure."
Before suiting up and taking the field as a senior, Dorian has some plans this summer to aid in his college recruitment.
"I am going to camp at SMU with Daniel (Taylor)," said Semien. "I am going to Memphis, Southern Miss, LSU and a few more.
"I feel like SMU is the most serious with me. Me and Daniel both really like SMU.
"I have talked with Southern Miss too and they were saying a little something.
"Some other schools think I am a little small, but I think once they see me in person they will come around."
