Danville (Calif.) Monte Vista quarterback Jeff Lockie got good news on Friday morning.
"San Diego State offered today," said Lockie.
For Lockie, it's the first offer for him, and makes him the third quarterback from his league to land an FBS offer.
Offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig was at Monte Vista to watch Lockie throw and gave his coach the good news.
"Coach Ludwig watched me for a spring workout," said Lockie, who said he was relieved to get his first offer.
Lockie was 167-for-275 for 2,449 yards, with 32 touchdowns and six rushing as a 2010 junior at Monte Vista and was a Second Team All-State Underclass selection.
