Herbert Harris profile
On Thursday night, the Arrows closed out their spring practices by hosting Callaway, McComb and Provine in a four team spring jamboree.
"I feel like we did pretty good," said Harris of his team's performance in the event. "There are still a lot of things we need to work on.
"We came out here and did pretty good and now we have the summer to work on all of the things we can get better at."
Herbert has several goals for himself this off season. He understands as a senior he has to help lead the team on and off the field.
"As a team I think we all can be better work ethic wise," said Harris. "I am going to be working to get the guys together and working hard.
"I am looking to stay up to par and be a leader for this team to the best of my ability."
In addition to the off season work the talented linebacker has planned for the summer, he will do his best to get some face time with college recruiters.
"I plan on going to a lot of camps," said Harris. "I am going to Tennessee, LSU, Alabama and Southern Miss for their camps and there a lot more others I am thinking about.
"LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State and Ole Miss are showing me a lot of interest right now."
While offer number one is yet to arrive, Herbert is undeterred in his quest for life on the major college level.
"I want to be part of a family," said Harris. "I want to have a big bond with all of the players and coaches wherever I go.
"I am just working hard to get there."
