Noblesville High has a 6'5, 230-lb tight end who is now up to four offers. "Air Force offered me. Central Michigan and Western Michigan have offered me. Northern Illinois has offered me and BYU is right on the verge. Pretty much all schools in the MAC except three have been in. Michigan State, Ohio State was just in, Purdue was in earlier in the process and Cincinnati, Oklahoma was here, and I've been in contact with a lot of coaches." Pearce says the only place he is camping at is BYU on the 2nd and 3rd of June. Whether or not he gets that offer will likely determine how the rest of his recruitment goes. "Yeah, I know lot of schools in Big Ten talk to my coach, but they're waiting on what happens with BYU. I'm a Mormon, so I really want to go to BYU and serve a mission. That's a deal breaker with me. I know many schools really are holding off to see if I won't serve a mission. Northern Illinois, Central Michigan, Western Michigan are contingent if I decide not to serve a mission. A lot of Big Ten schools don't want to come in and waste time if I won't consider them because I want to serve." That makes the BYU camp an important one. "Yeah, I'm going to one of their elite days. The recruiting coach for my area said if it were up to him, he would have offered me by now. They flew out and had a chance to see me personally. I know they're really interested in me."
