100 athletes from all-over southern California showed up to play at The USA Combine on Sunday…
Introduction 2012: Aaron Crone
Over the weekend Aaron Crone, the 6'1, 195-pound quarterback back from Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt attended the USA Combine on Sunday. "I am enjoying the combine, I know a couple kids out here, its fun to compete with all of them," said Crone. Crone describes what he is hoping to accomplish by participating in the combine. "I am here to get a good workout, get exposure, and compete with other teammates and friends," said Crone. Crone doesn't have any current offers at this point, but he has been hearing from several top programs. "I have been hearing from, Nevada, San Jose State, Boise State and Iowa State," said Crone. Crone discusses which school stands-out to him at this stage in the game. "I like San Jose State at this point. One of our receivers last year just committed to San Jose State. It would be fun to throw with him for a couple more years," Said Crone. This California quarterback knows exactly what he is looking for in a program. "I am looking for a strong offense that fits me, a strong coaching staff, and a good education. I am open to go anywhere for a scholarship to play football," said Crone. Crone has a busy summer mapped out. The quarterback is doing everything he can to heat up his exposure. "My recruitment strategy is to attend lots of college camps so they can see me play. I am under the radar so I have to let them see me and perform. The camps I will be attending are San Jose State, San Diego State, Nevada and Oregon State." Crone is starting to rise above the competition. He was recently invited to play in two invitational showcases. "I was invited to play in a Texas Showcase this summer and I was recently invited to play in the U.S. Marine All-American game on Jan. 2nd. I am really excited about that," said Crone.
